What You Need To Know
- Maybe someday we’ll pick some warm weather gear
- One of our favorites just hit shelves
- Roark is running amok with new arrivals
- Check back next week for even more good stuff
I’m pretty sure Running Warehouse is just teasing us at this point. New pairs of shorts and short sleeve shirts just keep arriving, but it stays freezing cold here in the Baltimore area. Even when we do get a warm day, it rains. Anyway, enough complaining, the best cure for shitty weather is some retail therapy. Here are a few of our latest picks from everyone’s favorite running retailer.
We tried to cover the full range of launches, but each week is a mystery. Our picks are all over the place this week, but there’s always something to pick up. Our goal is to provide a few new selections each week, so check back real soon if you’re not into this week’s options.
If we’ve reviewed one of our picks, we’ll be sure to link it. If not… maybe just trust us? We’d be buying all of this gear ourselves if we had an unlimited budget.
NOTE: We earn affiliate revenue from Running Warehouse, so anything you buy helps us keep the lights on.
We’re all pretty comfortable with the HOKA formula by now — solid stack, breathable upper, ready to suck up the miles. Now, the Kawana offers a taste of something else. This combination running and gym shoe just hit Running Warehouse in a pair of launch colorways. It rides on a CMEVA midsole with a gentle rocker design underfoot and a slightly lower stack overall. Unfortunately, we don’t have a review to offer you yet, thanks, global supply chain.
Roark Bucket List Bucket Hat
Bucket hats are having a bit of a moment right now, or at least we’re hoping they do once the weather warms up. We’ve pretty well established our love for what Roark is putting down, and a treasure trove just hit Running Warehouse. Yeah, we could have just picked Roark pieces and called it a day, but this is more fun. The Bucket List hat is crafted with five panels and a perforated mesh for peak breathability, but it’s easy to crush and pack when you wanna give your head some sun.
Women’s Nike Therma-FIT Run Division Hybrid Jacket
I already complained about the continued cold in the intro, but now it’s time to do something about it. After all, the groundhog has officially declared six more weeks of this crap. Nike’s Therma-FIT is just about as warm as it gets thanks to the insulated panels that run across the front and back. Don’t worry, no geese were harmed in the making of the jacket — it’s packed with Nike’s eco-down. Right now, the hybrid jacket comes in basic black or Indigo Haze, which automatically wins as the better color name.
Men’s Roark Second Wind Anorak Jacket
As promised, we ain’t done with Roark’s new launches quite yet. The Second Wind Anorak is another top pick from Running Warehouse, and it’s ready for the elements. It’s finished with water repellent and windproof materials, and the graphic on the back shoulder acknowledges “Freedom & Chaos.” You might not have guessed at first, but the jacket is actually inspired by the lands of Morocco — no matter the inspiration, it’s bound to perform as good as it looks.
ASICS Gel Nimbus Lite 3
It’s time to play favorites for a minute: we really, really like the Nimbus Lite 3. The shoe is starting to feel like its own model rather than a spinoff of the classic nimbus line. It offers a wide base of FlyteFoam for a stable ride and heaps of recycled material throughout. Even though the shoe doesn’t come in green, you’ll feel a little bit eco-friendlier putting in the miles. You can choose from a few different colors, but it’s tough to top the natural-looking white we reviewed.
Women’s Vuori Halo Crew Long Sleeve
Our last Running Warehouse pick is a do-it-all long sleeve from Vuori. The Halo Crew is pretty much made for running, hiking, lounging, or anything else you have in mind. It’s a thicker long sleeve, so it might be good for colder days and lower-intensity adventures, but it’s bound to become a staple in your lineup. You can grab the long sleeve in a few different colors, too, in case you want to wear one every day of the week.
